Haat's plant at Jigani is in a modest one acre plot, but still manages to house a 4 level office with canteen for around 50 employees, 3 shopfloor bays, a material store, worker's rest and canteen areas, hazardous waste storage room and the incineration system. Despite all these facilities, there is still a dedicated green belt covering 25% of the area generally leading to ambient temperatures that are generally a degree or two lower than the surrounding locations.
The storage room for hazardous waste is fitted with flameproof lights, spillage collection sinks and auto fire supressing foam sprayers. Power back up in the form of a 250 KVA diesel generator ensures plant operation non-stop. The fabrication yard has several equipment enabling repair of incinerator components whenever required such as a hydraulic rolling machine, hydraulic shearing machine, several welding equipment, refractory mixers, paint and grit blasting booths as well as several cranes and a forklift for material handling.
Transport is done in a dedicated vehicle authorised for hazardous waste by the RTO.
