Haat has been certified to ISO 9001 since the year 1999 and also to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 since the year 2008. Extensive environmental impact and risk assessment studies have been carried out, emergency teams identified and responses planned and the emphasis of any study has always been to try and eliminate the hazard rather than using other means.

The automation of the system has also ensured elimination of human error in causing incidents or to prevent damage to the equipment leading to any significant environmental impacts.

As an example, due to Haat's excellent Euro compliant air pollution control, the overall pollutant emission in kg per year is much lower than other facilities. This also matches the requirement and objectives of many companies who are looking at ways and means to reduce the overall environmental impact from their production activities – whether directly or indirectly.
